Microsoft is a household name that has made an impact worth praising. Microsoft awards many IT Certifications and one of them goes by the name of MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator). This certificate training by Microsoft was introduced in 2002 and since then, thousands have been certified. And by the success they are enjoying right now, it seems that they made the best decision of their professional careers. MCSA can be considered as the medium level certification that focuses on the professionals who have been working practically under an IT firm for at least 12 months and have the experience and knowledge in areas such as network operating system, desktop operating system etc. this certification training is best suited for those people who have administrative experience in networking and who have the ability of maintaining the functioning and existing networks.
The recent years have been a little tough for this prestigious certification training as Microsoft was looking forward to discard this certification due to the introductions of new and more advanced IT certifications that were seemingly more ‘in-demand’ certifications as compared to MCSA. However, the trends proved the pundits wrong. The increasing demand of the officials having proficiency in windows 2003 server discouraged Microsoft from taking a disastrous step. As a result, Microsoft announced that MCSA will not be discarded and will not be replaced by any other program.
MCSA has two directions and they are Windows server 2000 and Windows server 2003. People who are looking forward to this certification and are willing to go this year can only go for the direction Windows Server 2003. And it must be noted that people who have been awarded the certificate of MCSA Windows Server 2000 can go for the sole exam 70-292 and certify with Windows Server 2003. The willing people can then opt for two more paths for specialization once they have been awarded the MCSA Certification. These two paths are MCSA Messaging on Windows server 2000 and 2003 and MCSA Security on Windows Servers 2000 and 2003.
The repute of MCSA Certification was indeed damaged due to the controversy of its retirement. But this certification proved its value. It could never have been discarded keeping the fact in our minds that it is still in great demand. The skills that are gained via MCSA are the need of the industry and it is its demand that stopped Microsoft taking a step which could have been the biggest mistake. Though not financially for the firm, but for the IT Industry hat literally runs on Windows Server 2003. It has been the backbone of the industry since its introduction and continues to keep the same place in the industry after 7 long years. This fact really impresses as 7 years in the IT industry are like a million years for a technology to survive. It has stood the test of time and will stay here in the future also. So the issues and rumors concerning its retirement are baseless and basically it is a non-issue that haunts the MCSA holders which should be ignored. MCSA can be the ideal step for those who want career growth and better paid jobs. Success is guaranteed here.
